Please see details below.
PEG 1000
POLIkol 1000PF (CAS No.: 25322-68-3)
POLIkol 1000PF belongs to the polyoxyethylene glycol group. These product is available in white solid, waxy form. It is characterised by a wide spectrum of applicable properties, mainly excellent softening, lubricating, solubilising, and wetting abilities. Also as a humectant it is responsible to keep an moisture of final formulation.
POLIkol 1000PF meets the restricted quality parameters defined by the Pharmacy Code, collected and published in the latest edition of European Pharmacopoeia. Thanks to which it may be classified to the group of Macrogols . Macrogols are a pharmacopoeial name for polyethylene glycols which are used as one of additives for medicines, ointments, dermocosmetics or other pharmaceutical formulations.
Typically, macrogols of a high molecular weight are present in combination with lower molecular weight macrogols. Therefore, high molecular weight polyethylene glycols, which are in the waxy form, are combined with liquid low molecular weight polyethylene glycols and a result, the blend is of a greasy consistency.
POLIkol 1000PF is recommended as a base for ointment due to its excellent dispersing properties in order to make proper solution of active ingredients and assure good water solubility. Moreover, due to its high molecular weight, POLIkol 1000 PF can be added to the formulation in order to increase viscosity.
Moreover, macrogols are safe, non-toxic, and are characterised by a lack of negative environmental classification
PEG 1500
POLIkol 1500PF (CAS No.: 25322-68-3)
POLIkol 1500PF belongs to the polyoxyethylene glycol group, characterised by a wide spectrum of application properties. This product exhibits excellent softening, lubricating, solubilising, wetting, and anti-static properties. It is a white solid with a waxy consistency also offered in flake form.
POLIkol 1500 PF 1000PF meets the restricted quality parameters defined by the Pharmacy Code, collected and published in the latest edition of European Pharmacopoeia. Thanks to which it may be classified to the group of Macrogols. Macrogols are a pharmacopoeial name for polyethylene glycols which are used as one of additives for medicines, ointments, dermocosmetics or other pharmaceutical formulations.
Typically, high molecular weight macrogols in the form of wax are combined with liquid, low molecular weight polyethylene glycols, resulting in a greasy consistency that is a suitable base for ointments.
POLIkol 1500 PF also has very good dispersing properties and good water solubility. Due to these characteristics, POLIkol 1500 PF is used to make proper solution of active ingredients and assure good water solubility of final formulation. Because of its high molecular weight, POLIkol 1500 PF can be added to the formulation with the aim of improving its rheological properties (an increase in viscosity).
Moreover, macrogols are safe, non-toxic, and are characterised by a lack of negative environmental classification
PEG 3350
POLIkol 3350PF (CAS No.: 25322-68-3)
Polyethylene glycols are a group of polymers widely used in industrial, food, medical and pharmaceutical production. These polymers of ethylene oxide are often referred to as PEG, POE, PEO, while the common name used in the pharmaceutical industry is Macrogol.
In order to classify polyethylene glycols as Macrogols, it is necessary to meet the restrictive requirements described by the Pharmacopoeia. POLIkol 3350PF meets the quality requirements according to the 9.0 version of European Pharmacopoeia. Not absorbed by humans, frequently used in solutions with electrolytes of laxative preparations. Commonly used in mixture with PEG400 as oiment base.
PEG 6000
POLIkol 6000PF (CAS No.: 25322-68-3)
Polyethylene glycols are a group of polymers widely used in industrial, food, medical and pharmaceutical production.
POLIkol 6000PF meets the quality requirements according to the 9.0 version of European Pharmacopoeia. Solubilizing agent for active substances of pharmaceutical preparations in solid form with a waxy or paraffinlike appearance. Used in the production of pills as an active matter binding agent, or as a coating component, anti-caking agent or plasticizer in pills forming steps.
PEG 600
POLIkol 600PF (CAS No.: 25322-68-3)
POLIkol 600PF belongs to the polyoxyethylene glycol group. This product is characterised by a wide range of application properties, from very good softening, lubricating, solubilising, and wetting properties, to antistatic properties. It is available in the form of a colourless, viscous liquid.
POLIkol 600PF meets the restricted quality parameters defined in latest edition of European Pharmacopoeia, thanks to which it may be classified as a macrogol. Macrogols are a pharmacopoeial name for polyethylene glycols which are used as one of additives for medicines, ointments, dermocosmetics or other pharmaceutical formulations.Due to their specific properties, macrogols act as solvents and solubilisers for active and auxiliary substances in pharmaceutical formulations. POLIkol 600PF can be used in order improve the rheological properties (an increase in viscosity) of liquid pharmaceutical preparations and ointments.
These products are used as active ingredient solubilising and binding agents, dispersion stabilisers, and as fragrance carriers, resulting in their prolonged release. They are also used as humectants responsible for binding the water to keep an moisture of final formulation and thereby ensuring even better distribution of the components in them.
Moreover, macrogols are safe, non-toxic, and are characterised by a lack of negative environmental classification.
